CIMB Niaga Bank has officially opened its first hybrid branch in Riau Province, called the Digital Branch CIMB Niaga Pekanbaru Harapan Raya, located on Jalan Imam Munandar, on Monday, November 11, 2024. This new Digital Branch enhances CIMB Niaga's banking services in Pekanbaru, bringing the total to six branches, all supported by professional staff dedicated to the #WorkFromHeart spirit.
Maya Sartika, Head of Region Sumatera at CIMB Niaga, stated that the opening of the Digital Branch reflects the company's commitment to providing comprehensive banking services. This branch features the latest banking facilities, making it more accessible to customers and the community.
"Thank you to our stakeholders and customers for their support, which has allowed us to introduce this innovative branch service in Pekanbaru. The Digital Branch combines traditional branch services with a Digital Lounge, offering customers a complete banking experience with digital facilities and the friendly personal service that CIMB Niaga is known for," Maya said during the Grand Opening on November 11, 2024. The event was also attended by Triyoga Laksito, Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in Riau Province, and Panji Achmad, Head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office in Riau Province.
With the Digital Branch, customers in Pekanbaru can access various digital banking facilities that were previously available in the Digital Lounge, including Self Service Banking machines and Self Service Tablets. These tools allow customers to open accounts, replace cards, and update their Customer Information File (CIF) in just five minutes. This digital capability adds significant value to the main services offered at the branch, such as Customer Service and Teller assistance.
CIMB Niaga introduced the Digital Branch concept last year in Jakarta and several cities in Java and Bali. This branch model has received a positive response from the public and continues to expand to various areas, including Pekanbaru. In addition to the Digital Branch, CIMB Niaga is promoting digital adoption in other branches by launching the Digital Hub, which features Self Service Banking machines and Self Service Tablets to speed up customer service. As of October 31, 2024, this concept has been implemented in 34 branches across different cities in Indonesia.
"We hope that the Digital Branch will enhance the digital banking experience for our customers. In the future, we will keep innovating so that customers can enjoy a better banking experience tailored to their preferences and comfort," said Maya.
