PT Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah (Askrindo Syariah) is providing scholarships and carts for small businesses through its Zakat Management Unit (UPZ) to enhance education quality and support local economic empowerment.
This assistance is distributed at three different locations as part of the company's ongoing commitment to improve community welfare and develop the local economy.
In collaboration with Lazisnur, Askrindo Syariah awarded the "Si Hebat" scholarships to 60 elementary and middle school students at the Nahwa Nur Quran Memorization Boarding School in Bogor Regency.
The aid was presented on Wednesday (November 6, 2024) by UPZ Chairman Farid Datul Rohman. The scholarships aim to ease the financial burden on students and create a long-term positive impact for recipients and the wider community. This scholarship program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in ensuring access to quality education.
In addition to scholarships, Askrindo Syariah also provided carts to small business owners through the Infaq Management Institute (LMI) and Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM).
The carts were handed over on Tuesday (November 5, 2024) to LMI by Farid Datul Rohman in Jakarta, and to BMM by Corporate Secretary Catur Heru Putranto on Wednesday (November 6, 2024).
Catur Heru Putranto emphasized that supporting small businesses is crucial for strengthening the economic sector, which is the backbone of Indonesia's economy.
This empowerment program contributes to achieving the SDGs by creating decent jobs and promoting economic growth. Through these initiatives, Askrindo Syariah aims to make a significant impact on the community.
The scholarships are expected to help produce a more educated younger generation, while the small business carts are intended to accelerate national economic recovery by enhancing the capacity and competitiveness of entrepreneurs.
Askrindo Syariah, with its network across 41 cities, continues to serve Business Partners, including both Islamic Bank and Non-Bank Financial Institutions, to support financing for SMEs and promote the growth of the Islamic economy in Indonesia.
