Simon Aloysius Mantiri Appointed As New Pertamina CEO

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) made some leadership changes at PT Pertamina (Persero) on Monday (04/11/2024) during a General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS). This shake-up involved appointing a new President Director and Board of Commissioners to steer Pertamina in the future.
The decisions, outlined in SK-258/MBU/11/2024 and SK-259/MBU/11/2024 regarding the dismissal and appointment of Board members and Directors at PT Pertamina, named Mochamad Iriawan as the new President Commissioner, Dony Oskaria as the Vice President Commissioner, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani as an Independent Commissioner, and Simon Aloysius Mantiri as the President Director.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), clarified that the appointment and dismissal of directors and commissioners at state-owned enterprises, including Pertamina, fall under the government's authority, represented by the Minister of BUMN.
"Leadership changes in companies are a normal and expected process as per existing regulations," Fadjar stated.
In the new Board of Commissioners, Mochamad Iriawan, now serving as the President Commissioner of Pertamina, is a retired high-ranking officer from the Indonesian National Police, who most recently held the position of Secretary of the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANAS). Dony Oskaria, the new Vice President Commissioner, is currently serving as the Deputy Minister of BUMN. Meanwhile, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani, the Independent Commissioner, previously led the Trisakti University Petroleum Alumni Association.
At the same time, Pertamina expressed its gratitude to Ms. Nicke Widyawati and Mr. Ahmad Fikri Assegaf for completing their roles as President Director and Independent Commissioner of Pertamina. "We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Ms. Nicke and Mr. Fikri for leading Pertamina to achieve outstanding performance in recent years," Fadjar concluded. Following the General Meeting, the current structure of Pertamina's Board of Directors is as follows.
