GoPay Voice Command 'Dira' Participated In Asia Pacific Technology Event

GoPay, part of the GoTo group, is the only Indonesian company represented at Let's Talk AI, where it showcased its AI implementation in products and features. Let's Talk AI is an event by Google Cloud for discussions with journalists from the Asia Pacific region, highlighting how organizations innovate with cloud support and generative AI. Kelvin Timotius, Head of GoPay Wallet, introduced Dira by GoTo AI, an AI voice assistant in Indonesian, currently available to some GoPay users and set to expand to all users before being launched in the Gojek app.
"Dira, short for Dikte Suara, is designed to enhance user experience, making it easier to use GoPay features and complete transactions faster with voice commands in Indonesian," Kelvin stated in a written release on Friday (October 25, 2024).
Kelvin noted that Google Cloud supports this feature by utilizing Google Gemini 1.5 flash. For users, Dira's voice assistant can save time by reducing the duration needed to complete transactions. With Dira, users only need to tap once and give a voice command for various transactions, streamlining the process.
Additionally, Dira helps users navigate the GoPay app interface more easily, minimizing manual searches on the main page and assisting users in discovering new features within the app. Dira makes AI implementation accessible to more users, as it can be used in the lightweight GoPay app.
"This means Dira can be accessed on any mobile device, including those with limited capabilities, at no cost," he concluded.
