Indonesia's President, Prabowo Subianto, has officially announced the establishment of the Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara, or BPI Danantara for short, and appointed Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad as its head. This agency aims to be a leading investment manager, driving Indonesia's economic transformation by fostering world-class corporations, supporting national development, and creating prosperity for all Indonesians. In his state address on October 20, 2024, President Prabowo reaffirmed his commitment to managing the nation's wealth for the benefit of the people, in line with Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution: "All the wealth of the Indonesian nation must be maximized for the interests and prosperity of our people." BPI Danantara is established as a realization of this constitutional mandate and serves as a catalyst for national investment, focusing on the management of strategic state investments. The agency will be responsible for attracting and managing the necessary investments to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. With the tagline "For an Equal Indonesia," Danantara emphasizes the vision of Indonesia standing alongside developed nations in the global economy. The name Daya Anagata Nusantara was coined by President Prabowo, symbolizing the future strength of the archipelago and representing a new spirit for Indonesia to tackle global challenges, create new opportunities, and advance national economic development towards Indonesia Gold 2045. The head of BPI Danantara stated that the agency will concentrate its investments on national priority programs that significantly impact the economy, such as downstreaming, infrastructure, food security, energy resilience, import substitution industry development, and digital initiatives. This organization aims to lead the way in developing capabilities and innovative non-state budget investment sources, which are crucial for complementing funding from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). “At BPI Danantara, we’re dedicated to ensuring that every investment we manage has a significant impact on Indonesia’s development, not just in the short term but also for sustainable economic growth in the future. We’re committed to transforming the investment landscape, creating a supportive ecosystem, coordinating efforts, and adding value for everyone involved, both locally and globally,” said BPI Danantara Head Muliaman Hadad.
Muliaman pointed out that, in line with Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, one of BPI Danantara's key responsibilities is to establish a strong national investment foundation by consolidating state assets, allowing for more optimal fund mobilization through excellent governance, transparency, and risk management. BPI Danantara's Vision and Mission:
• Vision: As a leading investment manager, BPI Danantara is determined to foster world-class corporations, support national development, and create prosperity for all Indonesian citizens.
• Mission:
o Manage state wealth in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution for the prosperity of the people.
o Encourage transformation and economic growth.

The presence of BPI Danantara is expected to strengthen Indonesia's economic foundation by attracting more investments, both domestic and international. This aligns with President Prabowo's goal of achieving optimal, inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economic growth while creating prosperity for all Indonesians.
