Xurya, a trailblazer in the solar power rental scheme with no upfront costs, is celebrating a significant milestone on its 6th anniversary. The company has successfully installed over 100 MW of solar power capacity across nearly 200 projects throughout Indonesia. Thanks to Xurya's innovative rental model, more than 100 companies have been able to tap into solar energy, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in the country.
This achievement goes beyond just the power capacity; it symbolizes a shift towards a greener future. Eka Himawan, Managing Director of Xurya, stated, "Every MW installed is incredibly meaningful. It’s a clear sign that Indonesia is moving towards a better, more sustainable future."
Since its inception, Xurya has been dedicated to supporting the government's energy transition and actively contributing to the goal of achieving a 25% energy mix by 2030.
Not only is Xurya a pioneer in innovative business models, but it also leads the way in utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) for remote monitoring and management of solar power systems, along with implementing machine learning to enhance system performance. These innovations boost energy efficiency and ensure greater reliability and safety for solar power users.
In addition to cutting-edge technology and business models, collaboration has been key to these accomplishments. Xurya has efficiently executed projects on time by partnering with over 150 local EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) firms. As part of its strategic approach, Xurya is also committed to empowering local human resources and fostering an ecosystem that supports the national energy transition.
Xurya has been actively collaborating with various communities, educational institutions, and private sectors over the past few years to provide technical training. They’ve even taken the lead in establishing the Solar Academy Indonesia, partnering with Huawei Indonesia and JJ-Lapp Indonesia.
“We believe that strong collaboration can speed up the adoption of solar energy in Indonesia. By working together with our partners and stakeholders, I’m confident we can not only meet the energy mix targets by 2030 but also create a much more significant economic and environmental impact,” Eka shared.
So far, Xurya has earned several national and international awards. They were recognized in Forbes Asia's 100 Companies to Watch for 2023, and in 2024, they achieved B Corp Certification, showcasing their commitment to high ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards. Additionally, they received the ESG Award 2024 from Yayasan Kehati for Best Impact Entrepreneur.
All of these accomplishments have been made possible by a dedicated team of over 100 local employees spread across four major cities: Jakarta, Medan, Semarang, and Surabaya. Eka emphasized, “We believe that energy solutions for Indonesia should be developed by Indonesians. The Xurya team is a testament to our nation’s ability to lead the clean energy transition.”
“This achievement is just the beginning of Xurya’s journey. Moving forward, we will continue to be pioneers in providing more affordable, innovative, and reliable renewable energy solutions. Our mission is to create a future where clean energy is the norm, not just an option,” Eka concluded.
