The Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 Is Back, Hosted By Royal Brewhouse!

After a successful event in 2023, the Fastlane Mandalika Track Day is back! The 2024 edition took place at the Mandalika International Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, from August 8 to 10, 2024. Melvin Tenggara from Royal Brewhouse, the organizer, mentioned that this is the second time they’re hosting the event. "We’re really happy with how the Mandalika Circuit has developed; it feels like a track from abroad. That’s why we’re returning this year," he said.
He explained that the Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 is all about indulging in automotive hobbies, especially for high-speed cars. With 16 participants and 21 cars, everyone got to experience the thrill of their vehicles' speed. "This isn’t just a racing event; it’s a safety driving campaign. For those who love speed or racing, it’s important to do it in a safe environment like the Mandalika Circuit, rather than on public roads where it could be dangerous for others."
Additionally, Melvin emphasized the importance of promoting the Mandalika Circuit to the international community, along with the surrounding tourist attractions. He also noted that the Royal Brewhouse Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 is a private racing practice event. This year, they limited participants to sports cars, including models like Porsche, BMW-M, and Mercedes AMG, as well as supercars like Ferrari and Lamborghini, and track cars like Praga and Radical.
This event is being held on a limited basis due to the high costs involved for each participant, which include circuit rental, accommodation, and vehicle loading. "In addition to the hefty fees for renting the Mandalika Circuit, each participant can end up spending tens of millions, especially since transporting cars from Java is quite pricey. Hopefully, there will be a better solution in the future," he mentioned.
All participants or members must not only have a driving license but also thoroughly check their vehicles. This includes inspecting tire pressure and condition, brake quality, oil, coolant, fire extinguisher availability, and ensuring they have helmets and other gear for safety and comfort while driving.
Melvin stated that all participants will enjoy a full day of private track time, receive international-standard transponder equipment to track their best times, have marshals stationed in each sector, access to a mechanic's paddock, an ambulance unit, and a waiting area for breaks. There will also be instructors available to guide and assist with driving lines and braking points.
"Everything will be packed into one day, including some time to explore the local tourist spots and enjoy the food around the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok," he added.
