The Price Of The IPhone Fold Is Estimated To Range Between 2,000 And 2,500 US Dollars

Wednesday, 23 Apr 2025

The Apple iPhone Fold, a foldable smartphone, is expected to enter the market by the end of 2026, with a projected price range between $2,000 and $2,500, as reported by analysts and gadget insiders in a Phonearena article published on Friday in the U.S.

The report highlights various estimates for the potential pricing of the foldable iPhone: $2,000 (the lower limit according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo), $2,100 (the lower limit according to tipster Instant Digital), $2,300 (the upper limit according to Instant Digital), and $2,500 (the upper limit according to Kuo). This information was reiterated in a follow-up report on Saturday.

This anticipated price point is significantly higher than that of current competing foldable devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Google Pixel Fold. The report attributes the high price forecast to several factors, including Apple's premium brand image, the novelty of the product within the iPhone lineup, and the potential for increased global electronics prices due to geopolitical issues.

Apple is actively working to address common challenges associated with foldable devices to maintain a competitive selling price. Key areas of focus include enhancing the screen folding mechanism and offering standout features such as extended battery life, impressive camera quality, high-brightness displays, a reliable 2-nanometer (2nm) TSMC chipset, substantial RAM capacity, and seamless integration with the iOS ecosystem.

However, a selling price of up to $2,500 may be a significant consideration for some consumers, particularly in the Southeast Asian market. This is especially relevant given the availability of more affordable foldable alternatives, such as the Oppo Find N5 Fold, which is priced at approximately $1,500 (around Rp25 million).
