President Prabowo Subianto has concluded a series of official visits to the Middle East, specifically to the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan. It is anticipated that collaboration with these five nations will lead to significant advancements in the near future, particularly concerning the interests of the Palestinian people.
"Thank God we have received a clear update, and we hope that soon there will be positive breakthroughs. Of course, we must consider and advocate for the interests of all parties, especially those of the Palestinian people," Prabowo stated, as reported by Media Indonesia on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
The Head of State consistently addresses the Palestinian issue during his visits to each country. This was also the case during his trip to Jordan, where he met with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein. "We also discussed the situation in Gaza, exploring how we can assist from a humanitarian perspective. We are urging an immediate ceasefire and will offer our support to expedite the peace process," he expressed.
In addition to discussing Palestine, President Prabowo and King Abdullah explored various potential areas of cooperation, including education, science, technology, and economics. "We are here purchasing a significant amount of phosphate and potash for our fertilizers, which are among the most affordable in the world," Prabowo remarked.
