Munafri Arifudin Invites Residents To Maintain A Healthy Lifestyle

Mayor of Makassar, Munafri Arifuddin, attended the Car Free Day (CFD) event on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, precisely in front of the Mandala Monument, Sunday (6/4/2025). This moment was the first gathering event after the Eid holiday, which was attended by the ranks of the Makassar City Government OPD, the ranks of the Regional Companies (Perusda), and the people of Makassar City.
On that occasion, Munafri expressed his gratitude for being able to gather again with the ranks of the government and the people of Makassar after celebrating Eid. He considered this moment very special because it was the beginning of positive activities in public spaces after the long holiday.
"Today is the first time after Eid we have gathered again at the Car Free Day event," he said.
Furthermore, Munafri said that in the implementation of this CFD, the Makassar City Government tried to implement something new to create a more comfortable and orderly CFD atmosphere for all visitors and business actors.
"Something special today because we are trying how friends who sell can go up to the pedestrian, so that our walking area and interactive area can be wider," he explained.
Munafri also expressed his gratitude for the participation of all elements present, while inviting the public to use the morning to exercise. "Hopefully we can maximize this morning by exercising. God willing, in a healthy soul there is a strong body," he added.
He also hopes that through CFD and joint exercise, it can strengthen the togetherness between the government and the community in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Not only giving a speech, Munafri also took the time to go around greeting the community, the ranks of the Makassar City Government and the UMKM actors who also enlivened the CFD by opening stalls.
The presence of the number one person in Makassar City gave the residents enthusiasm. Not a few of them took advantage of this moment to take pictures with the mayor. This activity was also filled with joint exercise for refreshment as well as a means of building togetherness.
