Insights Into The Investment Plans Of U.S. Technology Companies In Indonesia

Minister of Investment and Downstream/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani said that there will be a technology company from the United States (US) investing in Indonesia.
"Hopefully in the near future, there will also be a large investment from the US, in the technology sector that is quite significant, which will also come in," said Rosan at the seminar 'The Impact of Tariff Wars on Indonesia's Export Opportunities' at the Kadin Tower, Tuesday (3/25/2025).
However, Rosan has not been able to reveal the identity of the company, because the plan is still in process.
"Hopefully we can announce it in 2 or 3 months, that is also already underway. But if you look at it, our trade will continue to increase," explained Rosan.
Similarly, Deputy for Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Investment and Downstream/BKPM Nurul Ichwan said that his party could not yet announce the investment plan from the US at the request of the related company.
"It's from America, but it can't be disclosed yet because they also asked not to be conveyed to the public yet because it's also a public company," said Nurul.
So his party can only wait for an official announcement from the technology company in question before conveying further information regarding this investment plan.
