Samsung may equip a foldable phone with a more pocket-friendly price, namely the Galaxy Z Flip FE, with its own chipset, the .

A GSM Arena report on Wednesday stated that Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset should have initially been embedded in the Galaxy S25 series released early last year, but due to the final results not meeting expectations, the plan was not realized.

Finally, the latest news emerged and stated that the chipset might be installed in one of Samsung's products, but with the calculation that only the Galaxy Z Flip FE uses this chip.

This refutes information that had also been circulating that stated that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 would be equipped with the chip.

According to a source from Samsung's head office, the decision that only the Galaxy Z FE would be installed was taken because there was disagreement in Samsung's mobile division about the chip being installed in the Galaxy Z Flip7.

The cheaper Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to arrive a few months after the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7 are launched in July.

Thus, Samsung still has quite a long time to develop and achieve good results with the Exynos 2500.

However, this decision is not certain, because Samsung still wants to maintain the success of its foldable phone formula which has been released with Snapdragon chipsets.

In addition, so that the Exynos 2500 incident with suboptimal test results does not happen again in the next generation, it is known that Samsung is currently perfecting the Exynos 2600 so that it can be released on the Galaxy S26 series.
