Without realizing it, Ramadan is just around the corner. Certainly, welcoming this holy month, there are several preparations that are made, such as the hijab for Muslim women.
Muslim fashion designer, Monika Jufry, said that talking about hijab trends during Ramadan is about personal matters. However, for young people, the trend is currently to wear a pashmina jersey hijab that is worn on the face area.
"For young people, the current trend is a pashmina jersey hijab that is left wavy on the face (the term is meleyot hijab)," Monika told Bloomberg Technoz, Thursday (27/2).
In addition, Monika said that young people are also currently liking the plain scarf model, namely a plain square headscarf made of certain materials. "Or patterned ones are still popular," she said.
For the use of hijab colors, Monika said that young people usually tend to choose basic colors, such as black, nude, and dusty.
"It is still a favorite until now because of its brightening effect on the face," she said.
On the other hand, according to Monika, for the hijab trend a few years ago, many young people used the khimar hijab, aka long syari hijab.
"It was a trend, but not now, but there are still fans, but not as many as before," she said.
Monika also shared tips for young women who want to wear a wide hijab. The choice is not only to wear the khimar, there are many choices of hijab models now by wearing a scarf in a large size.
"The outline of all the styles is that the trend of wearing the hijab now tends to be simple and does not use decorations or other ornaments on the head," she said.
