Changes In Teenage Lifestyles Become The Focus Of BNN Nunukan

Monday, 03 Mar 2025

The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Nunukan Regency continues to improve education to suppress drug abuse. In addition to early prevention, changes in adolescent behavior patterns are also a concern.

The Head of the BNN of Nunukan Regency, Anton Suriyadi Siagian, highlighted the changes in the lifestyle of adolescents today. According to him, there has been a shift in their attitudes towards teacher figures at school.

"The trend of adolescents, like their lifestyle, the pattern has changed now, when we used to meet teachers, we were still afraid. Now the trend is that meeting teachers is like being friends," said Anton, Thursday (02/27/2025).

To overcome this, the BNN Nunukan emphasized the importance of schools as second homes for students. This concept is expected to rebuild better relationships between students and teachers.

"What should actually be fostered is that school is actually their second home. Every time we tell students or anyone, that they come here is a second home. Their first home is where their father and mother's family are. Their second home is school. Where they are treated like their father and mother," he added.

With this approach, it is expected that students will have a higher sense of responsibility and awareness of the school environment. Closer relationships with teachers are also expected to reduce negative influences from outside.

BNN Nunukan Regency continues to coordinate with various parties in an effort to suppress drug abuse. Education and social approaches in the school environment are one of the main strategies in creating a safer environment for the younger generation.
