Prabowo Discusses Current Issues With Dozens Of Media Editorial Leaders

President Prabowo Subianto convened a gathering of several editorial leaders and senior media figures for a discussion at his residence in Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was accompanied by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, during this meeting.
According to an official statement from President Prabowo's Media Team, the event commenced with a luncheon, followed by discussions held in the library of Prabowo's residence. "Today, I had the opportunity to reconnect with my colleagues, the editorial leaders, and senior media figures at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java," stated Prabowo.
The discussion lasted approximately six hours, during which Prabowo and the media leaders exchanged views on current issues. This meeting took place nearly 20 months after their last gathering on June 18, 2023.
"Finally, today we met again in a warm and collaborative atmosphere for six hours. We discussed and shared perspectives on various issues and strategic policies, where the media plays a crucial role as the frontline in delivering comprehensive and reliable information to the public," Prabowo remarked. "I hope this meeting further strengthens the synergy and contribution of the media in nation-building," he added.
Irfan Junaedi, Director of News at LKBN Antara, noted that he gained a comprehensive understanding of various policies initiated by the government.
According to Irfan, President Prabowo provided detailed explanations regarding the rationale behind several policy decisions, including budget efficiency and the government's major initiative, the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
"We received insights into the underlying reasons for these initiatives, allowing us to understand why efficiency programs or budget reconstruction are being implemented. It turns out there is indeed a significant plan in place to safeguard the national budget," Irfan stated.
