Preventing Disease Through A Healthy Lifestyle: IS&F Provides Legal Support For The Fitness Industry

Wednesday, 12 Feb 2025

A group of attorneys affiliated with the Indonesia Sport & Fitness Law Firm (IS&F) participated in the Indonesia Fitness Expo, which took place from February 6 to 9, 2025, at the SMESCO Exhibition Hall in Jakarta. During this event, IS&F not only provided a space for legal discussions and consultations but also served as a resource in legal literacy sessions related to the fitness industry.

IS&F is the first law firm in Indonesia dedicated specifically to the fitness sector, particularly the fitness industry. Their presence aims to enhance legal protection for fitness business operators in the country. By offering comprehensive services through a one-stop service concept, IS&F provides legal support to entrepreneurs, professional trainers, and fitness service consumers.

Joddy M. Putra, S.H., M.H., the Managing Partner of IS&F, stated that the firm's involvement in the Indonesia Fitness Expo represents a strategic step in advocating for the public's right to a healthy environment and supporting the national program Indonesia Bugar 2045.

"The Indonesia Fitness Expo is not merely a promotional event for the fitness industry; it is also a significant moment to assert the constitutional rights of the public to a healthy environment as mandated by Article 28H of the 1945 Constitution. As a nation aspiring to create a healthier society, we cannot continue to overlook fitness facilities and services or regard them merely as entertainment," Joddy emphasized. He highlighted that the fitness industry plays a crucial role in improving public health, preventing lifestyle-related diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension, and supporting physical rehabilitation for patients who have undergone medical treatment. He believes that the fitness industry has now become a primary necessity accessible to various segments of society through community gyms and public-based sports programs.
