Observing The Physical Appearance Of The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Slim Smartphone

Tuesday, 28 Jan 2025

Samsung held its annual launch event, Galaxy Unpacked 2025, in San Jose, California, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, local time, or early Thursday, January 23, 2025, WIB. This event marked the global debut of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones. In addition to unveiling the S25 Series, Samsung surprised attendees with a teaser for its latest slim phone, the Galaxy S25 Edge. Previously rumored to be named the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim, this device is presented as the thinner variant within the Galaxy S25 series.

Galuh Putri Riyanto, a journalist from KOMPAS.com who covered the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, was among the few individuals granted the opportunity to see the new Samsung S25 Edge firsthand. The slim version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra was displayed in the experience zone following the conclusion of the Galaxy Unpacked session. Members of the media and gadget reviewers from around the world crowded to get a closer look at the Samsung S25 Edge. The Galaxy S25 Edge was showcased alongside the Galaxy S23 (on the left) and the Galaxy S24 (in the center). From the side, the Galaxy S25 Edge indeed appeared thinner compared to both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24.

Regrettably, we could not ascertain the feel of holding the Samsung S25 Edge or its thickness directly, as visitors were prohibited from getting too close or handling the device. Upon observation, the displayed Samsung S25 Edge appeared to feature two rear cameras. The rear camera module of the Samsung S25 Edge was noted to have an oval shape with two lenses and a single LED flash.

This design makes the camera module of the Samsung S25 Edge resemble that of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, differing from the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, which have their rear cameras integrated directly into the back.
