WhatsApp is set to introduce a new feature that allows users to automatically share their WhatsApp status on other Meta platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram.
This feature is part of an optional integration with the Meta Account Center, aimed at enhancing user experience through a more interconnected connection.
According to Wabetainfo, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, this feature will be rolled out globally, although the launch will occur gradually.
Users can enable this option through the WhatsApp settings or when attempting to share their status with other Meta applications.
Meta has clarified that this integration is entirely optional.
Users who link their WhatsApp account to the Account Center will be able to share their WhatsApp status directly to Facebook or Instagram without the need for manual reposting.
Additionally, users will benefit from a single sign-on system for all Meta applications, making the login process faster and more convenient.
The Account Center will also provide additional features, such as avatar management, Meta AI stickers, and other creative tools accessible across all Meta applications.
Meta emphasizes that user privacy remains a top priority.
Even with the WhatsApp account connected to the Account Center, personal messages and calls will continue to be protected by end-to-end encryption, ensuring that even Meta cannot access them.
