Moorlife Overcomes 11 Lawsuits From Foreign Companies, Growing Stronger In The Global Market

Friday, 24 Jan 2025

Moorlife achieved an impressive victory against 11 lawsuits from a U.S. company that has long dominated the premium plastic market in Indonesia. These lawsuits posed a significant challenge for the Moorlife entrepreneur network, but they were resolved with a proud win.

As a homegrown Indonesian brand, Moorlife has demonstrated the superiority of its high-quality products, which are BPA-free, made with thicker materials, and come with a lifetime warranty. Hermanto Tanoko, the Founder and President of Moorlife, is known for his legal compliance and his vision to elevate local brands to the global stage. This victory was greatly supported by E.L. Sajogo, S.H., MCIARB., the Managing Partner of MS&A Law Firm, who led the legal battle from 2015 to 2018, culminating in a review stage.

The influx of foreign products into Indonesia, facilitated by tax advantages but lacking local production facilities, raises significant concerns and could negatively impact the value of the rupiah.

This situation motivated Hermanto Tanoko to emphasize the importance of supporting local brands. In addition to offering high-quality, BPA-free products with a lifetime warranty, Moorlife also provides business opportunities for the community, especially for mothers, allowing them to work from anywhere.

"Moorlife is a product of our nation, aimed at becoming the number one local premium plastic brand, not just in Indonesia but also in the international market. My vision is to create one million entrepreneurs in Indonesia, enabling them to achieve financial independence while staying close to their families," said Hermanto Tanoko.

The rapid growth of Moorlife has sparked a strong reaction from foreign competitors who feel threatened. A total of 11 lawsuits were filed against Moorlife in three major cities: Surabaya, Semarang, and Jakarta, with the intent to undermine Moorlife's reputation.

Challenges faced included the spread of negative information claiming that Moorlife's products were problematic, causing concern among business partners (Moorlife entrepreneurs).

However, with the support of the legal team from MS&A Law Firm and three expert witnesses from leading universities UI, UGM, and UNAIR, Moorlife successfully won the lawsuit. Now, the foreign company has ceased operations in Indonesia, which had been their largest market from the 1998 crisis until 2015.

Hermanto Tanoko has a grand vision to establish Moorlife as a local brand that can compete in the international market. With a strong commitment to local products, Moorlife continues to reward its successful entrepreneur network with trips for religious purposes and leisure, both domestically and internationally.

Moorlife has successfully entered the international market by exporting to countries such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Mauritius, and Africa. Additionally, Moorlife actively participates in global exhibitions with the Ministry of Trade in Madagascar, Nigeria, Chile, Russia, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. Therefore, Moorlife is committed to improving the quality of life for the community through high-quality premium plasticware and offering business opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs to achieve unlimited income.

With a variety of product categories, Moorlife is ready to meet lifestyle needs and is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Indonesians, making them happier, healthier, and more successful.
