The Minister Of Transportation Stated That The Evaluation Results From The Nataru Transportation Will Be Used To Prepare For The Lebaran Transport In 2025

Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi presented the evaluation results of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year transportation to Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno on Monday (January 20). During this meeting, the Minister also discussed preparations for the 2025 Eid transportation.
"I thank Minister Pratikno for his guidance during the 2024/2025 holiday transportation. I can report that the holiday transportation was carried out smoothly. We hope to continue coordinating and discussing to ensure the Eid transportation runs safely and efficiently," said Minister Dudy.
He noted that the public gave positive feedback on the 2024/2025 holiday transportation. According to a satisfaction survey conducted by the Transportation and Logistics Study Center at Gadjah Mada University, 86% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied.
"However, we will still evaluate the holiday transportation. The results from this evaluation will help us improve the Eid transportation this year," explained the Minister.
Some evaluation results include the implementation of buffer zones at key points in the port area, especially in Merak, and the digitalization of online ticket purchases across all transportation modes. Additionally, direct train services in Java were launched, and all supporting transportation infrastructure was optimized during peak mobility times.
The Minister pointed out several areas that may experience congestion. These areas will be the main focus for managing traffic, including Merak (Banten), Puncak (Bogor), Kalikangkung Toll (Semarang), Nagreg (Bandung), and Ketapang-Gilimanuk (Bali).
Several plans to manage congestion will be implemented. These include adding port pairs, adjusting transportation methods, and improving vehicle flow systems. We will coordinate across ministries and agencies, said Minister of Transportation Dudy.
The meeting also discussed various policies and inter-ministerial coordination to ensure smooth transportation during Eid 2025. This includes policies on holiday pay, public holidays, and improvements to supporting infrastructure.
All top officials from the Ministry of Transportation were present at the meeting.
