Sports Have Now Become A Healthy Lifestyle For Teenagers

Thursday, 16 Jan 2025

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a lack of physical activity can have serious implications for public health. Approximately 2 million deaths each year are attributed to insufficient physical activity, making it one of the top ten causes of death and disability worldwide.

This situation has prompted teenagers in Sampang Regency, Madura, East Java, to adopt healthier lifestyles, including regular exercise and nutritious eating habits.

Ainur Ridho, a teenager who has recently developed a passion for exercise, expressed her desire to invest in her health for the future.

"Being healthy is expensive; we must take care of ourselves starting now to avoid burdening our children and grandchildren later," she stated in an interview with RRI.co.id on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

She emphasized the importance of health as a foundation for a fulfilling life in old age, a perspective she has gained from observing her parents, who remain healthy and active.

"I look to my parents as an example; they are very diligent about walking every morning or evening. They seem to stay youthful," she concluded.
