As the new year approaches, the latest Herbalife survey titled "New Year, New Me" reveals that 74 percent of Indonesians intend to set health resolutions for 2025. Among these individuals, 72 percent express a commitment to adopting healthier eating habits to enhance their energy levels and improve sleep quality.
Vipada Sae-Lao, Nutrition Education and Training Lead for Herbalife Asia Pacific, emphasized the significance of establishing specific and realistic goals in a statement on Monday.
"Consistency is more crucial than intensity. Small, sustainable changes can lead to significant impacts without overwhelming pressure," she stated. The survey also highlights the challenges associated with maintaining a healthy diet. While extreme diets may attract attention, they carry long-term risks. Respondents are encouraged to focus on a balanced diet that includes protein, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and whole grains.
Another strategy suggested is to track progress using fitness applications and to build a support system.
"Sharing goals with family and friends can enhance the likelihood of success," Sae-Lao added. Despite the common occurrence of dietary lapses during the holiday season, the survey indicates that many respondents remain enthusiastic about starting the new year with healthy habits.
"Eating healthily is not about perfection, but about consistently making the best choices for our bodies," she remarked.
Health resolutions present an opportunity for the Indonesian community to embark on a better lifestyle in 2025. Small changes, such as opting for whole grain bread instead of white bread or increasing protein intake, can serve as initial steps toward optimal health.
