Singapore Intercultural School (SIS) South Jakarta successfully hosted the Colour Run & Walk 2024 on Saturday, December 7, promoting a healthy lifestyle and social awareness.
The Colour Run & Walk 2024 exemplifies SIS South Jakarta's commitment to fostering a healthy lifestyle while enhancing support for communities in need.
As an educational institution dedicated to the holistic development of its students, SIS emphasizes not only academic success but also health, well-being, and social-emotional growth.
"SIS believes that our school should cultivate not only intelligent students but also healthy, caring, and respectful individuals who are prepared to make a positive and lasting impact on society," stated Andrew Paterson from the management team of SIS Group of Schools.
The three-hour event took place along the residential route of Bona Indah, attracting over 400 participants, including students from Nursery to Junior College, parents, teachers, and non-teaching staff at SIS South Jakarta.
With a spirit of togetherness, all participants actively engaged in the colour run, which prioritized participation and experience over speed or final results. This approach allowed individuals of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy the event in a joyful and comfortable manner.
The Colour Run & Walk 2024 was also dedicated to supporting two social organizations: Komunitas Taufan and the International Organization for Migration (IOM Indonesia). Komunitas Taufan assists children with critical illnesses in Indonesia, while IOM Indonesia is a global organization focused on protecting and empowering migrants in the country.
