The Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry, or the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), has set a target for investments in Indonesia to reach IDR 3,544 trillion. This indicates an annual increase in investment value of 16.75%.

The Minister of Investment and Head of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, emphasized that the agency is actively promoting the acceleration of investments through the revision of Government Regulation (PP) No. 5 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Business Licensing. This initiative aims to foster annual investment growth.

Roesan elaborated that the investment target for the next five years is expected to rise. Specifically, this year, the target is set at IDR 1,650 trillion. By 2025, it is anticipated to increase to IDR 1,906 trillion, followed by IDR 2,280 trillion in 2026. "In 2027, it is projected to reach IDR 2,684 trillion, and by 2028, it is expected to rise to IDR 3,116 trillion. Finally, in 2029, the target is IDR 3,544 trillion," Roesan stated during a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission XII of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Thus, according to Roesan, from 2024 to 2029, the average annual increase in investment is projected to be 16.75%.

"This figure has been provided to us by Bappenas, and it is our mandate to continuously enhance both domestic and foreign investments to ensure that our economic growth can reach up to 8%," he asserted.
