The Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) has reported a continuous increase in transactions within the E-Catalog. As of the third quarter of 2024, the total transactions in the E-Catalog have reached Rp 223.82 trillion.
"The transaction market within this E-Catalog could potentially surpass that of other private markets in Indonesia," stated Acting Head of LKPP Iwan Herniwan during a working meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Monday, November 18, 2024.
It is important to note that the LKPP E-Catalog is an online shopping application developed by LKPP. This application functions as an e-commerce platform that features a variety of products required by the government.
Iwan indicated that transactions in the E-Catalog amounted to Rp 83.6 trillion in 2022. In 2023, this figure saw exponential growth, reaching Rp 196.7 trillion. By the third quarter of 2024, it has further increased to Rp 223.81 trillion.
He explained that the rise in transactions within the E-Catalog correlates with the growing number of items available in the system. In 2022, there were only 2.4 million products listed in the E-Catalog. This number surged to 7.5 million items in 2023.
"As of the current year, by the third quarter, the number of displayed products has reached 10.3 million," he added.
